EXPLORE THE NATIVE EXPERIENCE
We are Inês and João Silva and we have two children. Since we started building a family, we decided that we want our children to grow up in Porto. We can find here the typical traits of a medium scale city: the balance between the cosmopolitan and quiet side of the city; great service quality and safety.
I am Ana, a proud “tripeira”, who dreams of exploring every little corner of my city. I believe Porto is made of details and unique people, so I dedicate my free time observing them and photographing everything. I love to travel and I like to get to know the alternative and genuine side of the cities I meet.
My name is Rui and I am an entrepreneur from Porto. My days are usually quite hectic: office, running over to the city centre, meetings, and business lunches. I live my city running around. I live the city running around, but I feel I get to enjoy it a lot too. I couldn’t work in a better city.
We met many years ago; we don’t even recall how our group has gathered. With the normal changes in life, we don’t have the chance hang around as much as before. So we make an effort to meet up every once in a while and book a getaway all together. We look for relaxed, cheap, lively and fun cities.
We are Pedro and Rita. Each of us came from other cities in Portugal, but it was at Porto University that we met. We are both architects and during the week we are working on various projects at the same time, without time for much apart from enjoy our home and each other’s company before starting a new workday. So, it is on weekends that we enjoy the most romantic side of the city.
We are Conceição and Joaquim Gomes. We live in Porto in Porto since we have met. It was at cinema Batalha that we saw each other for the first time and on hot Saint John’s night (famous popular street party still now a day) that we started dating. Since then, we stuck together. We have built our family in Porto, a city which we fondly call “ours”.
We are a group of old friends that has been hanging around since the 60s. Between us only, we call ourselves the The Wise because, beyond age giving us experience, it makes us much wiser too! Now that we are retired and have more time, we love to hang out together, recall old stories and live new experiences and adventures. People usually say that there’s nothing more contagious than our laughs.
